The Contemporary Praise Service meets every Sunday at 8 A. M. Our Pastor speaks once a month. Other Sundays Julie Letteer, our contemporary band leader and excellent lay speaker, or another speaker gives the message.
Our traditional service always begins at 10:30 A.M. and usually lasts until 11:30 -11:45, conducted by Pastor Leonard. We benefit from his scripture reading and message and his unique ability to use our common everyday experiences to make a deep spiritul point. The extra time usually means we have a special spiritual event like a baptism, new member installation, confirmations, special performances or just a special need to be together a little longer because of expressed concerns or joys.
Once a month the children get a special message of their own down front. Frequently their comments delight in their trust in Jesus. They also certainly bring a few smiles and some outright chuckles occasionally.
We also have special music from our talented congregation and choirs and guest singers and musicians. Plays come from our children and youth primarily, and they all have a message along with the fun.
We meet for the warm friendly service with God's love and design for our lives presented every Sunday. What a great way to start a week.
