MYF group meets 2nd and 4th Sunday's of each month at 6:30 P. M. to plan and study and have fun..

Our youth encourage all students 6th - 12th grades to join them for discussion and great good times but still try to be like Jesus in their everyday lives.


Who is our youth director Matthew Verstraeten?


      Matthew has been a student at Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee and is currently continuing his education at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His passions include music, ministry (youth and worship), his wife Taryn, and his great God. His greatest goals are that he can be a great husband, and Lord willing, a great father; and that he can make a difference for the sake of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The goals for our Youth are that our teens would come to a saving knowledge of the love of their Savior and that they may be willing and become better equipped to share that amazing light in a dark world.

Matthew likes:

  • Sweet Tea
  • Seinfeld
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Peach Pie
  • and of course… guitars (and other random instruments)

Matthew dislikes, even despises:

  • Asparagus
  • Oprah
  • Windows Vista
  • Dr. Pepper
  • 6 a.m.

 

Some of our times are great fun,but our purpose - showing our love of God and others - through our actions remains our focus in all activities.

Our Mission Statement

Our Youth Fellowship is a place where we can learn about God and be guided in the Christian Faith as we prepare for adult life. It is a place where we can come together as youth and adult leaders and have fun, work to get along with each other, help and care for others in need and learn to share our Faith with our peers, all in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
