“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Colossians 3:23-24 ( NIV )

THIS DEVOTIONAL COMPLEMENTS THE
PREVIOUS ONE BY DIANE RIDER.

This devotional is another example of how Diane and I see everyday events–events such as sporting careers that affect the members of our Junior/Senior High Sunday School Class, their teachers and others around us. This is just another example of how, even teenagers in various phases of their Christian walk, can have an impact on God's people.

As I look around our Sunday School classroom, this is what I see: as many as five soccer players, two field hockey players, two wrestlers, two basketball players, two softball players, and one member of a forensics team. All are “all-stars” in my book.

I was a player in my day and then a coach. Now I'm helping teach all these athletes. In turn they teach me as well. We are all teammates on the greatest team of all-- “God's team.”
