“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all they ways. ” Psalm 91:2, 9-11 ( KJV )
Prayer: Wherever we go every day You and Your angels will be with us. Thank you Lord for the peace, love And security you promise for all Who believe. |
One day in early January, I had to work at the Auxiliary Desk at the Bloomsburg Hospital from 9 to 12:30. It was a day of sporadic, heavy snow flurries. As I ate lunch at the cafeteria with my co-worker, it snowed so hard we couldn't see across the street. By the time we finished, the sun was shining brightly. I proceeded to go home to Millville. The roads were a little wet in spots and slushy at one place through some trees but when I got to Mordansville, a pick-up truck was ahead of me and several cars were behind me. Heavy snow squalls had gone through this area. The road was solidly snow-covered, icy and slippery. The pick-up truck spun out on the incline past the bridge. I couldn't stop and I wondered if I tried to, would everyone behind me plow into me or would I plow into the truck. As best I could, I passed the truck in the passing lane (no cars coming) and after fishtailing and spinning a little, I managed to creep back onto the right side of the road. When I got through the wooded part, I flashed my lights at several cars and trucks coming toward me. All the way to Millville no other car was behind me and I prayed all was well at Mordansville. MY DEVOTIONS FOR THIS DAY WERE BASED ON THE SCRIPTURE ABOVE ........ Thank you God!!!!!!! BEA NEFF |
