“Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you strength to endure it and so provide you with a way out.”

I Corinthians 10:13
( Good News )

This verse says that Christians and non-Christians alike will be tested, but Christians will be given the strength to deal with and overcome the trials. Sometimes He uses these times to bring us to our knees and closer to Him. All we need to do is open the door of our hearts and let Him in.

The “door opener” in my life was when our daughter, Amy was born. Most of you know the story of Amy's life. For those who don't, she was born with toxoplasmosis which caused brain damage, blindness and short life. She blessed my life for four and a half years. I do mean blessed.. It was hard and I didn't think I could handle it, but God knew, that with His help I could. She was about a year and a half when I knew I needed help. I was struggling emotionally and physically. Help came when I was invited to a Bill Glass crusade. There I opened the door and let God into my life. It was still hard, but I knew I wasn't alone. I wouldn't change a thing. Often you don't see the blessing until some time has passed and you can look back and see things clearly. I know now whatever challenges come my way, I can draw strength from God.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us your Son to show us the way to eternal life. Thank you for the strength we can draw from you in those times of testing. We give you all the praise and glory. In Jesus holy name we pray. Amen.
