"...God is light, and there is no darkness at all in Him."  ( John 1:5 Good News Bible, New English Version)

Vibrant morning sunlight, filtering through bare treetops on a fresh fallen snow, inspired me to write words from my heart. The following poem, dedicated to my mother, reflects the light of love she has always shed on my life

Snowy Morn

 Ice crystal diamonds
 In the snow
 Sparkling like gems
 In the morning sun
 There are so many
 Each so different
 Radiant and beautiful
 All the same
 Just like the ice crystal
 Diamonds in the snow
 We are God's
 Precious gems
 Always and ever
 Sparkling
 When we are in the
 Light of the Son

Light is multifaceted. It touches everyone's life. It can be natural or artificial, solid or blinking, bright or dim, colored or white. It can alter the appearance of people, places and things. It can cast an eerie shadow or brighten a dark corner. It can make the difference between happy or sad. Light can also be divine, and recognizable in the everyday lives of those who know God.

Prayer : Dear Lord, Please guide me in all that I say and do to reflect the light of Your love.

                                                                                      Amen.
