"For nothing will be impossible with God.”  And Mary said, "Behold, the bond slave of the Lord, be it done to me according to Your word."  And the angel departed from her.” ( Luke 1:37-38 )

God loves to take nothing and make it something!  All He needs is for us to surrender to Him.  We need bring nothing else.

Mary had no qualifications, no experience, no possessions, nothing to make her a likely choice for being the mother of our Lord.  Yet, God chose her.  All that was required of her was her willingness and her faith to trust in God.  So Mary yielded all she had as a bond slave of the Lord.  God did the rest and became the most holy of women.

God wants the same from each of us.  He wants us to give Him our nothingness and allow Him to use us for His glory.  God doesn't need us to become more "spiritual" or a "better" Christian before we can be used  by Him.  All He needs is our availability and trust in Him and impossible things can happen.  May the wonder of Christmas shine in all of us the year!
